78% of engineering firm leaders expect AI to have a positive impact on their business in the coming year. Only 36% of firms use it in project design and delivery, the core engineering work.
On 14 October 2026 we ran a session about that second number. Three of our scientists and engineers talked through examples from their own projects, spanning advanced materials discovery through to deployment engineering: what has changed in their day-to-day work, where AI has earned their trust, and where it hasn't.
Matthew Kapelewski (PhD), our Director of Chemistry, evaluates new cooling fluids, from screening molecules through to how they perform in a process. Graham Wenz (PhD), Director of Engineering, sizes liquid-cooling hardware from system requirements. Jaden Weaver (P.Eng.), Senior Mechanical Engineer, takes a data center client spec from concept design through to submittal documents.
Jonathan Godwin, our co-founder and CEO, opens with the projects we work on and how we built the expertise behind them. Ruxy Chitac, Technical Product Manager, closes with a demo of CurieOS, our AI operating system for science and engineering. We took questions after the engineering examples, and those are in the recording too.
